Any other Compulsive Overeaters?

This isn't really about weight loss, but it is tied up in it. Mental health was the other place I thought of but as I found it hard to acknowledge that this was an issue, but knew I had an overeating issue, I thought there might be more chance of traffic here!

Has anyone else suffered from this? I am currently trying to overcome it, or at least get it under control and it would be nice to think that if there are more of us, that perhaps we can talk and support each other. There did used to be an "Eating Disorders" thread somewhere I think but I can't find it now, typical I only need it once it's gone.

I am 36 and have been a compulsive overeater for about 18 years, but only recognised it in the last 3 or 4. Am now at the point where I really want to change my behaviours for the better, but am doing it in a bit of a vacuum apart from web support. Big factors for me are stress, an emotionally stifled upbringing and a mildly controlling husband! Which all sound worse than they are, I'm relatively happy if only I could stop bingeing ;)

Anyone else?
