WW or SW can someone help me

Hi

I need the both of the above expalined in simple terms so i can see which would suit me best.

please help and note i said simple terms

WW- set amount of points to rat within a day. Great for convenience, lots of products are "pro-points" branded (I know Tescos Light Choices is. Motivational meetings with a good amount of individual time. Crisps, chocolate etc available from WW (our £1 shop sells these)
SW- no set allowance of food. If doing EE (the main "pushed" plan) then all extra leans meats, pasta, potatoes are free and you can eat as much as you'd like, within reason ie, if you eat 12 chickens a day, you may gain..... And be very ill super free is most fruits and vegs and these you can stuff

Syns are used for extras, wether its chocolate or preferring to use oil in your cooking. Group has less 1-2-1 time but focuses on supporting each other.
I'm a SW follower and it works well for me, but it's different for everyone

Was wondering about the rat! Thank you for that. Still not sure but sw sounds like it might suit me better. Will look up local meetings. Think i need ritual humiliation if a weigh in to spur me on

how much is it to join SW?

thanks a friend has passed on one from sundays dily mirror - i cant get to join till tuesday though so doing it from her guff.

I have done both and both work (I gained again each pregnancy and then rejoined). Overall, though I prefer SW.

WW advantages were..easier when eating out, caravanning etc as branded foods easy to get hold (tinned soup, frozen meals, crisps etc) of and count points, could eat more junk if wanted i found, easier for convienience stuff & ready made. I lost weight on it but WW disadvantages..on the points plan I was so hungry. I didn't have much to lose thus didn't get many points to spend! I went to bed early sometimes when was so hungry. However this was a few years ago so haven't seen their latest plans.

SW advantages..I could do it for life as am never hungry nor feeling deprived (this is my number one point after loads of failed diets due to hunger), can eat what you like of free foods, encourages very healthy eating and home cooking, disadvantages SW..having to plan very much and make sure the right foods are in, some say it can be expensive due to home cooking. Eating out can be a challenge but is possible. Eg carvery is a good one as long as you syn the roasts and gravy. Syns are great and 5-15 a day gives you a daily bag of crisps or chocolate bar if you like so you don't feel deprived. This is a key point as well to sticking to a diet. Before the plan I couldn't keep multipacks in as would eat them but now I am motivated to just have one as feel happy and satisfied with what i can eat. I know there is always something i can eat whereas with points at WW once i ran out i was knackered!

Both work so good luck whichever you choose to do.

My friend swears by SW. She likes not being hungry and does a lot of cooking from scratch. My sister did really well on it too and likes how you can just look at a menu when eating out and pretty much work out what you can and can't have from what is in each dish.
But then I've had another friend who did well to a point, then get any lower. The whole 'as much til you like until you are satisfied' meant she was still overeating, but thinking she was fine.

I like WW. I don't mind feeling hungry for the first week or so, as I know that after that, my appetite will shrink and I completely get used to eating smaller portions. Yes you have to weigh stuff til you get used to portion sizes and yu have to count everything. But I am a bit of a control freak, so that suits me anyway. And if you don't do well, then you know why.

My sister also did WW in the past, but chose their no-count option, which is v similar to SW. Certain foods are free. Extras you have to count.
