I'm thinking about buying Paul McKenna's 'I can make you thin' book as I want to lose weight and I wondered if any of you have tried it and can give me your opinions on it.

Thanks :)

Hello, I'm a Paulette! I'm on that thread but I'll just tell you my experience. I've been a serial dieter as long as I can remember. I think my Mum put me on a diet for the first time when I was 9 Hmm. I tried lots of things including Weight watchers (plateaud and never got to my goal weight, gave up and put it all back on and more), Curves (couldn't cope with the 1200 calories a day for one week restriction), doing it myself etc etc!

This time last year my sister bought Paul's book. I started nosing at it and couldn't put it down! It was like having blinkers lifted off my eyes. I saw the flaws in my eating - I was never going to lose weight til I dealt with my food issues!

I've never enjoyed food more! He tells you to stop eating diet food and savour what you eat - honestly, food tastes so good!

I've had a few ups ands downs (had some major health problems) but have never got heavier on the Paul system (always gained back on diets!). Not likely to lose weight currently as I'm 24 weeks pregnant but I continue to try to apply the principles and I've only gained a couple of lbs!
