All new mummies welcome. Any exercise and/or weight loss programme acceptable, so long as it is healthy.

Oh and the digestive biscuit Blush

INeedThatForkOff · 10/01/2013 19:02

Hi peppa.

Quite pleased today - I've lost 2 1/2 lbs since starting which, as I'm eating loads to keep the milk coming, I'm happy with.

Walking every day using my pedometer and I'm about to do the new Nell McAndrew DVD.

VisualiseAHorse · 10/01/2013 19:09

Rubbish day. One 20 minute walk, no Shread AND chocolate. Hmmm.

TheTiger · 10/01/2013 19:40

Welcome peppa

Quite a good day today. Breakfast - porridge, Lunch - rice cakes and fruit, Dinner - pasta and spicy tomato sauce with 2 slices of garlic baguette. Plus a good 2 mile walk up a hill!

Hope Monday shows another loss!

kirrinIsland · 10/01/2013 20:45

No Exercise here yet - pathetic, but Velcro baby just won't let me!
Mostly managing to avoid crap though and I have reduced my portions so hopefully not too bad.

utopian99 · 10/01/2013 20:51

Good-ish day with an hour's brisk walk with the pram. Am being deliberately inefficient to make me get out of the house, so need to make the same trip tomorrow..

Good luck with the move yellow!

Just a question - I've noticed I've been eating more bread than usual. I know i need to eat enough for milk as am exclusively breast feeding, but would it help to cut out/down on bread?

NappyHappy · 10/01/2013 21:44

I'm not sure about the bread thing U, I've been off it a week but am FF. If you're getting carbs from elsewhere it shouldn't really matter.

Do need to buy shares in Deli Wraps thoughGrin Grin

We could put weight in the prams too to make them harder to push!

INeedThatForkOff · 10/01/2013 22:00

Nell DVD done (simple, hard work - made me excited to be on the road to fitness again!) Just about to tuck into Sainsbo's own version of Oat So Simple, golden syrup flavour. It smells lush.

Great day food and exercise-wise today, really pleased with myself (sorry I know that sounds smug, but it's been ages since I've felt anything but blubbery and useless, including pre-pregnancy).

RichManPoorManBeggarmanThief · 11/01/2013 01:36

Bit of a wake up call for me today- didn't eat enough yesterday (Partly rushing around, partly "i am going to look hot in that bikini" overeagerness) and today my milk supply is rubbish. I only managed to express 2 oz this morning where usually its 4-5oz. Realised I need to eat at least 1800 cals a day, even if that means the weight loss will be slow. DD really needs a lot of milk atm- she's just started sitting up and is trying to crawl (worming around on her front trying to get her knees under her and screaming in frustration). I started BLW yesterday which she took to with great enthusiasm.

Apart from that, it's been a good week. Not massive amount of gym work, but I've been good at working in incidental exercise- walking places I'd usually get a cab etc. I do think these little changes, if you can make them stick, really add up.

eg I used to always get a latte and a muffin for breakfast on my work days- c.500cals. Now I'm taking a lean ham sandwich (c 250cals) and have binned the latte in favour of lemon and ginger tea. 250 cals twice a week =500 cals per week x 52=c26000 cals =7lbs over a year. So I can be half a stone lighter in a year just by eating something different for breakfast 2 days a week. Insane.

utopian99 · 11/01/2013 05:02

richman that's exactly the right thinking! Compound losses (when it comes to calories,) are a winner! Need to replace some of my bread based sacking with carrots and ham (what i used to eat before third trimester bad habits set in..)

Iheartpasties · 11/01/2013 06:54

I had a burger for lunch today - we were out and that was all there was really. I didn't really enjoy it. Oh well. Next time I will plan ahead and take packed lunch. We had a fab day at the zoo though.

Iheartpasties · 11/01/2013 06:56

I'm not upset or kicking myself though, it just happened and thats that. Healthy tea for me and then onto the weekend :)

Sophiathesnowfairy · 11/01/2013 07:30

12 st 4lbs today. 4 lbs off. Huzzah. Didn't think I had let any so that has cheered me up. Grin

Iheartpasties · 11/01/2013 07:31

sophia good work :)

Catbag · 11/01/2013 08:40

Well done sophia, that is great news!

NappyHappy · 11/01/2013 08:42

Well done you! I stayed the same but at least I didn't gain.

Fun day/Fat Friday?

INeedThatForkOff · 11/01/2013 09:51

Might join in with Fat Friday with an Asda pizza (the ones you buy to order are lovely), choc and a glass of wine. In a bid to boost my milk supply you understand?!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 11/01/2013 10:24

fork they are, I haven't had one of those for ages.

RichManPoorManBeggarmanThief · 11/01/2013 11:32

It's not been my best day but I'm trying to avoid an all out blow out. Going to have my treat day on Sunday as holding a "play date brunch" and want to get some danishes etc. Today -

Breakfast- 2 x toast with avocado spread
Lunch- Vietnamese- shared a pomelo salad, cucumber and squid salad, fish cakes and beef rice paper rolls
Snacks- 4 Quality Street, 2 choc chip cookies, an orange
Dinner - Spag bol

Going to bed with Caitlin Moran and a hot water bottle as soon as I've eaten that. I'm knackered.

Titsalinabumsquash · 11/01/2013 12:41

I've just had dippy eggs with sweet potato 'chips' (sw friendly) now we're about to undertake a 6 mile walk (round trip) I think my legs may fall off Grin

Sophiathesnowfairy · 11/01/2013 14:43

Yum yum tits

A delicious shake for breakfast
A delicious shake for lunch
Cardboard cereal bar
Half a toast
Half a carrot
One pot lemony Chicken and lentil thing for tea.

Hours walk in freezing.

utopian99 · 11/01/2013 17:47

Fruit and fibre breakfast
Piece of cheese on toast lunch
Cottage pie for supper

Naughty treat of a glass of wine and piece of ginger bread to undo the good I've done through very brisk hour's walk. Grin

LO has been feeding all day!! Hoping that combined with being under calorie limit bodes well. Weighed myself sans clothes and 10st 12, so 12lbs to lose. My target is DH's 30th - 3rd May..

Imfeckinpetigo · 11/01/2013 21:22

Sorry not had a chance to check in until now, sounds like everyone is doing so well. I'm afraid I've been a bit up and down, couple of good days but a couple not so good. Went for a 4 mile walk today with the baby and had been really good but totally failed tonight as a friend came along with a massive bag of scallops which I fried with chorizo, chilli and honey.

Went for a 4 mile walk today with the baby and had been really good but totally failed tonight as a friend came along with a massive bag of scallops which I fried with chorizo, chilli and honey. Oh dear! Unfortunately as I figured my failure was huge I washed it all down with a big glass of wine. Never mind tomorrow is another day!

Imfeckinpetigo · 11/01/2013 21:25

Hmmm and managed to do that twice for impact, sorry!
