Cambridge diet not working

I started Cambridge diet a week ago. Had to start on Step 2 as I take medication. I have been eating 3 meal replacements (2 shakes and a bar) plus a steamed small chicken breast and green veg. I have been drinking the required amount of water. I am really frustrated as have lost less than a pound! In the past on higher calorie diets like weight watchers I have lost about 3 to 4lbs a week!

I can't understand why not losing weight on Cambridge as it so low calories (about 800).

The only thing I wondered is can you retain weight just before a period?

That must be so frustrating but stick with it, hopefully this week's work will show next week (if that makes sense).

Good luck! I tried it and failed miserably. Have now lost 35lbs in 11 weeks on WW :)

800 calories a day sounds too low to me. I imagine that must slow down your metabolism, no?

Having said that, I definitely put on weight due to water retention around the time of my period, and at the time of ovulation as well (have one of those weird iPhone period tracking apps which has made me much more aware of this sort of thing Grin ). The weight drops off straight afterwards.

Wow that is low!!! I am interested in starting it but my ds wont give me time to work out. Which is far more effective for me
