Talk to me about GI

I have been struggling with my weight for as long as I remember. I am now 44 and at my heaviest. I am 5 foot 2 and 15 stone 13lbs. I just keep getting fatter and fatter.
In the past I have tried SW and the first time I lost 3 stone but then got pg with DS. After having DS I just couldn't cope with having DS, working full time and dieting and so I got fatter again. I then rejoined SW, lost a stone and then got pg with DD.
Since then I've tried SW again, WW and am currently Paul McKenna-ing.

I am beginning to realise that I have a problem with sugar. If I begin the day with cereal, porridge, toast etc then I am usually ravenous by the time I get to work... I eat bfast at about 6.30am and get to work at about 8.15. This leads to me eating the 'wrong' things -
If I have bacon and scrambled eggs then I'm usually fine until lunch....
If I have anything sugary then it seems to 'turn off' my will power.... So a simple biscuit is a disaster...
I don't want to be fat any more. I've been fat for 20 odd years. I can't go on being fat. My joints ache. I can't go to the DRs with my aching left leg as I know he'll say it is because I'm so overweight.
So, to put an end to this ramble, what do people think about the GI stuff that is out there?

Sounds to me like you need to look at low carbing. I am a convert though so my opinion is a bit biased.

Low carbing will definitely help break your sugar addiction and it will only take a couple of weeks before you no longer want sugar (in the form of junk food or carbohydrate heavy cereals/bread etc). And it really helps change the way you eat - plus you should lose your weight. There are a few low carb threads on here, Bootcamp in particular is good Smile.
