Fat and miserable - back to WW tonight :(

Am going back to WW tonight as feeling very fat and miserable. I have been dabbling with pro-points since Christmas although not really doing it properly which I know is all my fault. One of the problems is that I really do enjoy a couple of glasses of wine in the evening and I know that if I could this out I'd stand a fighting chance, but it's almost like a 6pm habit. I have weighed myself this morning and am currently just over 13st which is the heaviest I've ever been.

Ideally I'd like to be 10.5 st. We are going a wedding abroad at the end of October and really can't stand the thought of looking and feeling like I do. And the thought of being in the photos looking like a beached whale fills me with dread.

How much weight do you think I could realistically lose by then? I know many of you are doing so well at WW so it would be good to know.

I am aiming to do Zumba once a week and 2 sessions at the Gym as well.

Hello mrsharry Smile

I'm not on WW but my first thought when I read this was get hold of Jillian Michaels 30 day Shred. It's a 20 min workout, and if you manage to do it 4-6 times a week you will see a huge difference! You may not lose actual pounds on the scales, but your body will change in a big way (for the better), especially if you're combining it with a diet such as WW. (Best way to see results is to measure your body with a tape measure before you start).

Thought I'd suggest it as it's a quick workout so hopefully one you could fit in, and the benefits are immense Smile

Disclaimer: I am a Jillian Michaels devotee so may be a tad biased!

Hi mrsharry!

You'll find that cutting out the wine will make a big difference - it worked for me! If you find it too difficult to cut it out all together,it might be worth searching for a healthier alternative (I took to smoothie making!). Hope this helps x

Good luck and well done for having a plan!

You could very easily get to 11st by the end of October and with a little more exercise maybe see 10.5st on the scales. :)

Personally I'd try and have the glasses of wine a maximum of maybe only twice a week...

hi, i feel you pain. pro points does work but not as effectively as the old ww plan (either that or i am older and it is harder to shift).

i recently got some new scales and trying really hard, it is a long old slog but it will be worth it in the end. I was 11 12ish possibly more 4 or 5 weeks ago and now 11 8. not a huge loss but better than nothing. good luck

Big thank you for your replies. Have actually got the 30 day shred and some hand weights that are currently sitting quietly by the tv.....(!).

I'm sure the wine is a big issue so will really try hard.

Itwillendinsmiles - if I get to 11 by the end of October I will be delighted!
