I think I'm done with WW

I've lost 3.5 stone with WW and am now 9st 6 (5ft 2). I want to be 9st really but I'm finding these last few pounds impossible. All my motivation as gone as people keep telling me that I'm looking good and don't need to lose more. So I'll stop dieting, keep running, and if I lose then so be it.

Can anyone advise me what kind of healthy eating ethos I need to adopt now? I'm scared to be out on my own without a plan!

Well done. I couldn't lose the last bit on a ww type diet... ending up losing a stone more than I planned once I worked it out though!

Read John Briffa's escape the diet trap - for me cutting back on carbs (and totally cutting out grains) was the key, although I do not do a ketosis diet.

Also my fitnesspal is free so if you like recording what you eat without having to pay it can be useful.

Thank you. I am interested in low carb but find it rather daunting.

Portion size, use a side plate rather than a dinner plate, eat slowly and stop when you are full, do not eat whilst watching the TV, mumsnetting etc - concentrate on the food and you will realise when you are full. I also agree with cutting the carbs back, try to avoid processed food, especially "diet" products, they are full of chemicals. Go for the real full fat version, just don't eat as much - well done on your weight loss.

If you are finding the last few pounds difficult maybe it's your body saying your weight is fine. You are the same height as me and if I remember correctly at our height "ideal" weight can be anything in a range from 10st to 7.5st, it's about how you carry the weight. Do you do any exercise other than running, if not maybe add something on. There's a large, friendly 30 day shred thread on here, come and join us!
