Any 30 day shred experts around? Advice needed!

Currently doing 30 day shred and am on circuit 2, day 3 after doing 10 days on circuit 1, and still have not lost any weight. Tis most disheartening. Admittedly am using only 1.5 kg weights ( weedy upper body) but do manage to follow Natalie for everything , except pushups in circuit 1 (that weedy upper body again).

Diet pretty healthy so not dieting as such.

Any idea as to why My weight is not changing? Anty advice gratefully received.

Not a Shred expert at all (have done it a few times) but thought I'd reply anyway. Is this the first time recently that you've done resistance-type exercise? Muscle weighs more than fat, so the exercise might be 'working' (in the sense of toning your body) without you necessarily losing any weight.

Thanks for replying ablative. Yes, it is the first time I've done any of this type of resistance exercise so maybe you're right. I was sucked in by Jillian's claim that you can lose 20lb in 30 days. That'll teach me!

I think I may possibly look a bit more toned. Although can't say DH has noticed - grr.

I do a circuits bootcamp with weights. With no change of diet I lost no weight - but I lost 15cm from my waist Grin

The best way to measure results is by measurements. There are fair few people on here who reported impressive inch loss. I suspect the 20lbs thing is for the very, very heavy people who are watching their diet really carefully. If you really push yourself then you will definitely see a difference.

Thanks brighthair and notyummy. Must get measuring!
If I started running again as well would this help with the weight loss do you think? will be very pleased to lose inches, but really want to see those scales move as well.
