What do you hate most about being overweight/obese and what do you most look forward to when you become slim (or are on your way)?
I think it might be helpful in terms of flagging up what bugs us the most and what we are trying to avoid/change by embarking on our weightloss journeys... Would love to hear your thoughts!!

I'll start:

Hate: Sad Blush

Take up too much room
Mahoosive gut from hell
Wondering if the ache or pain is obesity related or just an ache/pain?
Looking like a man (sorry men!)
Sewer-level self-esteem... Dont know whether I am blown-up or stuffed stuffed probably Grin

Looking forward to: :)

Size 14 clothes instead of 22
Holding my head up high
Wearing heels again (even if they're 2-inch)
Being able to let go more during sex.. actually having more of it would be nice
Hopefully will look in the mirror and stop cringing/crying/stomping around like huffy teenager.

that's all xo

Didn't want to leave unanswered. I am a maintainer so I look forward to continuing to buy nice clothes and feeling fit and healthy!

I think the most important is better health - ie the aches and pain - should be able to have good self esteem at any weight.

I'm looking forward to having a whole new wardrobe without spending any money (losing baby weight, so want to get back to my pre baby clothes that are now in the loft!).

Looking forward to not feeling wobbly in heels.

Not worrying that people think I'm expecting again.

Being able to have an occasional treat again without feeling I've blown the diet!!

I have a whole list of things I'm looking forward to

Being able to wear knee high boots in the winter
Fitting into my wetsuit on the beach
Starting riding again
Being able to pose for family photos without hiding at the back and/or dwarfing my petite in laws
Buying clothes on the basis of what looks nice rather than what fits best and covers up most.
Entering the mothers race at sports day
Feeling like I can dance at parties without being self-conscious
Wearing Hunter wellies or other slim fitting ones

Now I know there is nothing stopping me doing most of these things now, but at size 18+ I just don't feel comfortable.

Great thread idea

Growing confidence.

Feeling healthy.

Not being a fat Mum, being able to take the children out and do things like go swimming.

Looking better.

I had 4 stone of babyweight to lose .
Im just over a stone off goal and am enjoying picking up a size 14 and knowing it will fit.
Not getting sore feet.
Or knees when walking.
Being able to move more freely
Better sex life.
Happier and more confident.
More energy.

The last stone is definately the hardest for me.
Good idea for thread op.

I've lost four stone: gone from a 24/26 to a 16/18. Ideally still 1stone to go but we shall see. :)
Things that I used to hate: buying clothes just because they were in my size rather than I liked them.
Worrying if I sat in public eating sausage roll or something, what people would think of me.
Going shopping with friends and either not being able to get clothes from a shop or having to go to the tiny plus size section in the corner.

What I am looking forward to:
Buying underwear that matches
Buying a tankini
(whispering this one as going to hospital for my appt today) tiny chance of getting fertility help.

Brilliant idea for a thread!

Hate;
General lack of confidence
Not looking good in clothes
Being too slf conscious to go swimming with kids
Being the only overweight one out of family and close friends

Looking forward to;
Buying nice clothes
Going swimming
Just generally looking good

Im not massive but very flabby and not tall(5'2"). I'll have to wait til next year to achieve my goals as im pregnant at the moment.

so - anyone making any progress from the last posts? I second all the sentiments noted above - anyone else care to share theirs?
