What is Slimming World like?

DC3 is due in a few weeks and I'm looking at starting to try and lose weight probably starting in August.

I've tried weight watchers and I don't get on with having to work out all the points of everything.

I had thought about Slimming World online but it's £60 for 3 months and it was a lot cheaper at WW.

I've looked at meetings but also it says they are an hour long and I don't have the time to spend an hour there. DH works away so I would then have to find someone to look after the DCs.

Does it work well? Can I just go and get weighed without having to stay?

Yes you can just get weighed and leave, I found it really much easier than ww as no point counting, lots of free food, I was amazed at the amount I could eat and still lose weight! Best no syn food I found was ainsley harriot's Szechuan style savoury rice mmmm, great for a lunch, with some added veg and some chicken. good luck! X

I'm doing it currently (it's my first week). It's doable. You need to buy loads and loads of fruit and veg though, and I've found myself cooking from scratch a hell of a lot more then before. But that's a healthy thing. Only been to one meeting but I will be getting weighed and leaving in future, most weeks anyway. It was very dull indeed.
