Low gi vs low carb

Ive been doing a low gi diet for 4 weeks and list 10lb but my loss seems to have slowed

If I switch to low carb for 2 weeks and then go back to low gi (my partners away so I'll find it easiest not to cheat as he's terrible with the carbs!) would I see a result in those two weeks or has my body got used to losing weight so I'll only lose 1/2 lb a week from now on

Got about 2st 7lb till I'm at my target

I think I've been maintaining my weight with bad habits for so long after ds2 and I relies that now do it's not that I'm after a quick fix I'm just wanting to kick the pound loss in to action again!

Hi Fizzybee, you are probably correct, you've plateaued and lost water etc and your body is adapting to the new regime. GI is good because there is plenty of fibre, etc and healthy stuff. Low carb might make you constipated. My suggest FWIW would be to drink more water and increase the exercise. Half a lb a week is a good rate and even on low carb 1lb a week is what would be normal. Stick with GI, it's much healthier.
