That's great Sassy:)
My initial plan is to cut out crisps and chocolate which I have been consuming by the wagon load since giving up the cigarettes eight weeks ago.
I am trying the Couch to 5k plan as well, today was Day 1 Run 1, boy am I unfit, reckon I will be on Week 1 for a while Blush.
Going to replace every 2nd cup of coffee with cup of hot water . .

Well done Sassy that's great! My weigh in is on monday, hoping for 2lb off but would love 3!

Slotrightin, you'd be surprised how quickly your body takes to running. In January I couldn't even run for one minute, last night I was out running for an hour and a half (slowly mind you)

lovechoc · 08/04/2012 10:33

I was 13st exactly 8th January this year, and now down to 11st 8lbs. I'm losing about 1 or 2lbs each week (on week 14 now). Have been doing regular exercise every week (at least one 30 min brisk walk each day). I was swimming for a while but unable to continue with that at the moment. I am just eating three meals a day and chewing gum inbetween to stop me eating rubbish!

Today I have slipped off the wagon and had half an Easter egg but could not manage to eat the rest - I felt full up!! Very odd. DH says it's because my stomach has shrunk and mentally I've now told myself that this stuff is not aiding the weight loss...he could have a point.

I am also 5ft 7in so it's necessary for me to get the weight off so I don't feel out of breath any more. I am 8lbs off my target weight (11st -BMI 22/23).

Keep up the good work everyone. It's tough at times but think of the end result!!

Unexpectedly, I was just over 11.3 today and didn't feel deprived over Easter at all. I feel better in myself and the motivation is kicking in. I'm at the annoying "hitching jeans up" stage where I'm in between sizes though!

How are you all doing?

lovechoc · 10/04/2012 18:47

I had a choc Easter egg on Easter Sunday and my weight stayed the same, and I'd put that down to exercising every day. No point depriving yourself of a treat now and again, is there?

With you there steala as I'm 8lb off my target weight - current jeans hanging off me (need a belt to keep them up) but not able to fit into the jeans I used to wear before DC. We'll get there soon!! ;)

Slow but steady. Today the scales were just just just under 11 stone! Hooray! People have started to notice. 10 pounds in just over a month and it is unbelievable what a difference it has made. I'm still flabby but there is a lot less overspill and I'm not terrified I look pregnant anymore. How is everyone else getting on?
