Starting on January the 15th...

New year, new name (not that anyone would've noticed my old persona... was mostly a lurker, and I don't think my pipsqueak Kiwi voice ever registered anyway. :D)

I've been avoiding this forum since late December since there would be no point, none whatsoever, in turning over a new leaf until all the Christmas ham, Roses, scorched almonds and so on and so forth had gone.

And also it was in the news last year that January 15th is the best day to begin trying to keep your resolutions, or some such nonsense (I only remembered the date because it is my birthday).

About me: am 27, had a baby over a year ago, been breastfeeding but not seeing much reduction in size. Had an EMCS, and could (and do) sob about the state of my abdomen. Need to lose about two stone to get into my nice clothes again, and probably a bit more than that to not have such an enormous tum. Going to resume my acquaintance with Jillian the Dreadful and perhaps give running a bit of a serious shot for the first time in my life. And I'm not going to eat any more Afghans (why did I move back to New Zealand? But then, in England there were pasties and teacakes and amazing curries and all manner of wondrous things...).

Keep seeing gorgeous, elegantly dressed, slim young mothers here in NZ since coming back home and thinking longingly of the lovely clothes I can hardly fit a leg into. Seriously... it's not on.

A bit intimidated by the New Years threads which already have PAGES and PAGES of replies, so please forgive this self-indulgent thread. Would be glad to be joined by any other late starters. :).

Can i join too please :)

Have 17 month old twins and a 6 year old. My tummy looks like an overweight bulldogs face. The cs combined with the fact i had double trouble did not help whatsoever. I think i dont eat properly and i dont drink enough water either so need to work on those. Also wanting to get a puppy soon and think now is a good time to start getting into the habit of at least 1 good walk a day in preparation for having to walk a dog.

SluttyButtons (what an excellent moniker! Blame it on the buttons, eh? Smile), fantastic to see you!

Toddler twins, and another- hats off to you. :D

More walking and more water drinking sound like good places to start. I'll join you in those.

PUPPIES are beautiful. I have a collie. They're beaut around kids. What breed did you want?
