I have no idea where to start and am a little Confused when looking through amazon.

A bit of background -
I am very overweight with post pg fat. I used to be quite fit but now find I get puffed by going up our stairs quickly Blush so need something I will be capable of and not feel too inadequate.

I have an 8mo and have no time, so need something in very short bursts - 20 mins max or maybe a couple of 10/15 min bursts a day.

I have a back injury making alot of body twists/lunges etc not good.

Please help - I need to get going on this - have been going for walks but the rain is spoiling my plans a bit so need to get going on an all weather option

get it & try it before you say you can't do it Smile

I would do 30 day shred. Its 3x6 mins which are broken down into cardio, abs and something else, strength possibly so you can get through it by virtue of only having to do another 30 seconds before changing to something else.

I've looked up clips on you tube and there's no way my back can manage it - I'll just make my back injury worse and my physio will slap me Shock . I saw on amazon some 10 minute workouts and am wondering whether to go for that but so many to choose from Confused

If walking for fitness appeals to you, look up Leslie Sansone's dvds. You can see quite a few of them on YouTube.

She does walking at home dvds, which I found really useful for building up my stamina. Like you I started my bid for fitness by building up my walking and these were a great option when it was raining.

She has a really annoying voice, but as they're not very long, you can get past that.

moose I think I'll try that when it's a rainy day. Her voice is annoying isn't it Grin

Yup, but she helped me get strong enough to do the 30 Day Shred and now I'm moving onwards and upwards from there, so its definitely worth putting up with. Although that said, the moves are very simple and after the first time you could probably just switch the sound off, put on your own music and follow what she's doing visually.

I started walking in May after a prolonged illness from November until the start of May and used Leslie Sansone's stuff in between, on bad weather days and days where I just didn't feel like getting out and about. I started shredding at the end of August, so it took me around 4 months to build up my fitness level gradually. The shred nearly killed me at first, but its amazing how quickly your fitness improves if you stick with it.

Good luck. Smile
