Hi mums!

Does anyone in this forum use a gym?
What kind of machines help to get rid of baby fat?
Are there any exercise classes that help?
How much do you pay to go and do you pay by the session?

1 year on and wish I could lose the extra weight.

Yes I use a gym (virgin active, monthly subscription) but IMO no machines will help you get rid of baby fat. For that you need to eat less.

The gym will help you get fitter and more toned though.

Body conditioning classes and step classes are good for toning and weight loss. Zumba is good for weight loss too. Generally speaking, a good mix of cardio and resistance (free weights and resistance machines) will enable you to lose weight and tone up. Yes, weight loss is accelerated by eating less. If you're burning more calories than you're consuming, you will lose weight.

do body pump twice a week - it works wonders and is an efficient use of your gym time.
Also, instead of going to the gym, try and get out for a jog twice a week from home.

I've joined my gyn in may, paying 20pcm, lost 9 kg already, still going, aiming to be back at size 8 soon ;)
