One of my friends has (lost 9 stone and kept off for 3 years now but she acknowledges that she always has to watch what she eats, and she weighs herself every Monday and it is goes above a certain level she had a careful week etc.

Hi,I have lost 3 stone and kept it off since January. Ok not 7 stone and not that long ago but I still want to lose 1.5 stone and I haven't gained.
I think if you're doing a healthy eating plan rather than a meal replacement drink type diet you're more likely to keep it off.
I did (and just starting again) Slimming World. I had a steady loss of 1-2lb a week.
When I've been off the plan I have still followed the recipes and stuff.

What diet will you be doing?or just healthy eating/exercise?

Good luck!
