30 day shred question

Hello all,

I'm thinking of [http://www.play.com/DVD/DVD/4-/11755166/Jillian-Michaels-30-Day-Shred/Product.html?_%24ja=tsid:11518|cat:11755166|prd:11755166 this] DVD maybe.

Would it be suitable to do in a bedroom? (not much space, but I have about the length of two yoga mats).

And is it high-impact (i.e. something that would make a lot of noise upstairs), or could I do it relatively quietly?

And is this the best "shred" dvd to get or are there others that might be better? I'm attracted by the fact that it doesn't appear to take up loads of time.

tia

Didnt like to see your post unanswered, but perhaps you might want to read through some of the other threads on here. That DVD is indeed the hot topic of the moment, I have just ordered it myself, cant wait to get started!

As far as I can tell it is quite high impact, but in very short 2 minute bursts, also depends how loudly you 'star jump'!
Good luck Smile

I've just started it, but be warned, she keeps saying it's 20min but it's not. I've only done workout 1 so far, but it's 27 min (about 2 min warmup, workout, then about 2 min cooldown). Plus, there's an annoying bit at the beginning that you can't skip - not even medical warnings, just Jillian saying, "This workout is great." Will remember to switch DVD on before I get changed next time and save myself a couple of minutes!

Just realised that sounds really petty, doesn't it, complaining about 7 min Blush. But when you're selling yourself as a 20 min workout and it's not, I don't think that's very honest!

I'm just about to start L1D1, god help me!

Thanks for the answers. PlanetEarth, I don't think that's petty, I would imagine its USP is that you can do it in exactly 20 minutes - an extra 7 is a big difference if, say, you're trying to fit it in between work.

I'll have a look at the other threads, cheers.

It doesn't make any noise (could even have on mute) but there is jumping around and if you tried to do in a space less than 6 foot squared it might be hard - some moves you go forward and back, others its side to side.
