Hi, I'm considering re-joining my local group for the twentieth time tonight and wanted someone to kick me into action. (probably more like ten times but I do tend to exaggerate!)

I give up easily and have little or no will power.

HAs anyone any tips for me on staying on plan until I reach my target???

what makes you give up? what's your trigger?

SenSationsMad · 04/04/2011 16:56

not enjoying going to group on my own, Indian take away's, lack of motivation to carry on. I suppose I want results, and when I get them, I want to carry on and I'm buzzing, but if it doesn't come off then I'm on a downer.

I've heard that its hard to loose weight with SW if you've done it loads of times like myself....

I started last week so have no tips yet Smile but will join you for support. Baaaad fortnight to do it though..... 2 assignments due in last week and dissertation due in this week means I've been snacking like mad, but been trying to stick to fruit and veg rather than crisps and choc.

I haven't been too bad but my group meets on a mon night, which is crap for weighing cos I weigh myself 1st thing in the morning after being to the loo, and nekid Grin to get an accurate weight so I know I'll feel crap when I get weighed later after eating and clothed Sad. I'm not staying for the class tonight. Weigh and run since I'm taking the dog with me while I do other little jobs eg. cash point for DSD's bus money before I come back to try and finish. 6000 words by fri 12 midday....... I forsee no sleep.....

SenSationsMad · 04/04/2011 17:05

Monday isn't ideal, but it's just an other excuse for me, which I have to overcome.
I don't like what I weigh, don't like how I look, so I'll just have to get on with it and change my eating ( and drinking) habits for good - cos I'm worth it ;-)

Will go to weigh-in tonight in my jeans and having eating a spag bol for tea - see I'm already cheating! But at least, it'll give me a head start when I turn up next week in my lightest pair of trousers and no food in me belly.

Good look with your work

Have you read Paul McKenna's book?

Why are you thinking of re-joining something that clearly doesn't work for you?

Time to try a fresh approach ... ?

SenSationsMad · 04/04/2011 17:12

I have tried Paul McKenna - and it did work for a while. I have considered going for hypnotism too to implement PM's aversion therapy etc...

I know SW works too, but I need to be 100% and I haven't been, hence coming on here looking for a kick up the arse!

I'm doing the easy option plan and so far it's been pretty easy to follow because the only foods that are restricted are dairy and bread-y stuff. Still trying to figure out the syns thing but will get into it when I finish all this work. I'll know it's working when I get by the 1/2 st mark. I always lose the same 1/2 st over and over cos I get bored with all the restrictions so hopefully having fewer restrictions will keep me going.

Will post when I get back. Good luck!

SenSationsMad · 04/04/2011 17:14

And to you! I'll be back later, thanks all for chatting .

ilovewaldorfandstatler · 04/04/2011 17:14

Now report back when you've been Grin

ilovewaldorfandstatler · 04/04/2011 20:29

1 1/2 pounds off! Grin

not bad considering the 2 takeaways Blush and PMT Smile

will try and knuckle down this week!

SenSationsMad · 05/04/2011 12:50

Wow! You must be doing something right ILOVE! Thanks for the kick, I am now a member of my local SW group - again!

Started as I mean to go on, and I've already logged on to the website and started an online diary.

Its going to work this time. I think it didn't work for me last time cos I was trying to get my head round extra easy. I've decided to do green and original this week because it's "safe" and I know what I'm doing.

I'm going over to other threads now, keep in touch!

Hi i have just started,
finding it confussing But woundering if im doing it right?? also i dont get the syns

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 08/04/2011 20:23

Id also recommend the Paul McKenna, I was a serial SWer, and it never worked long term. I would never go back to any enforced eating plan now.

HowToLookGoodGlaikit · 08/04/2011 20:24

Ah, I see your already rejoined, sorry Blush

SenSationsMad · 09/04/2011 10:16

Hi, I'm not doing the extra easy plan, but green and original, so don't want to confuse you any further. Loads of other threads here though to help you.

I'm a fan of Paul McKenna, and still listen to the CD, though I'm now not eating what I want, but stop eating when I'm full IYSWIM.

i started SW two weeks ago, i dont attend groups, cant as nearest one is miles and miles away and dont drive, however dp is doing it with me and we weigh friday mornings on tescos clever scales, so far in two weeks ive lost 9lb 3oz and dp lost 7lb 5oz Grin

we are doing alternate red and green days, extra easy on sundays.

i think its a great plan, im already seeing results, good luck

JjandtheBeanlovesUnicorns · 10/04/2011 20:16

oh forgot to add my tip Blush

melon, is my secret weapon, its really filling and its super healthy i snack on that all day when needed, with a mix of other fruits but always mainly melon

SenSationsMad · 11/04/2011 21:06

Wow, thats fab! I was meant to go for my first weigh-in today but couldn't go as an appointment ran a bit late. I'll go tomorrow night, I promise (myself!)

I love melon too, especially if I can find them for a pound Grin
