WW and slimming world.....what is the difference?

WW is a points system where you can eat basically what you like as long as you don't exceed your points, so if you eat some crap you'll have less points for the rest of the day.

SW is food combining where you can eat lots of food in large quantities but only certain kinds. You also must fill one third of your plate with 'superfree' food - fruit and veg. This is the key to a good loss. All food has a syn value and you get a certain amount of syn's a day to use on extras

If you can manage only having really small amounts of bread etc. then SW is good because you can eat massive portions of 'allowed' food, whereas with WW they make you very much aware of portion sizes, which helps later with maintenance. I personally prefer WW but started on SW and lost a lot quickly. I switched to WW as it fits in better with my lifestyle (and the leader was rubbish at SW so I was paying 5 quid just to get weighed). Have a look at the 'Just started slimming world' thread, everyone is really friendly and there are lots of recipe ideas etc. which will give you an idea of what to expect. Good luck Smile
