Seven weeks to go (and a bit).

Post your top tips, progress and party frocks here so that we can all ooh and aah. Together we will be the Belles of the Balls. Grin
This is similar to mine except in midnight blue, all ready for the 21st December, but a little unforgiving. I'm hoping to lose 7lbs which will get me down to 9 stone 13lbs.

Do you have in-laws nearer? I know it is not the same, but it can help if you get on with them.

I'm thinking of inviting my lot over on the Tuesday. The only ones I won't see are youngest sister and her partner who live in Spain and are only home for 10 days, and my ex-stepfather. (Tenuous relationship, but he brought me up and even though they are divorced, he and Mum look like they are getting back together.)

DH's family are here on Boxing Day I found out this morning. Feel like saying that it's too late to cater for an additional 5 adults, but they do this every year despite boasting about finishing their shopping in August.

I'm really not feeling the love this Christmas. I think I'll make some mince pies to try to get in the mood.

Did you make some mince pies? I keep telling myself I will but I hate making pastry.

My inlaws are about the same distance away but in the opposite direction Xmas Grin so its just me, dp and our 2.

You may really enjoy boxing day, I just wouldnt put too much pressure on yourself about it. Will your inlaws bring anything with them?

I buy ready-made pastry - life's too short.

Boxing Day will be ok. They don't bring or do anything but that gives me the excuse to hide out in the kitchen.

Finished my shopping today, just got to wrap it all now.
