im 2 stone overweight, i am losing weight but it just comes off real slow. i went on holiday recently and loved swimming every day and even though only lost a lb in a week i felt great and it really pulled me all in , so today went swimming and intend to do so every week. i had an aisle to myself which was great as didnt want to go in the fast lane. I like swimming but dont like drawing attention to myself so always do breast stroke. After a while some young lads came and started swimming near me. I thought i was being paranoid at first but eventually realised they were definately taking the piss out of me because when i did a little bit of back stroke they were then doing it too and going 'ha, like this mate, like this' and then they were doing breast stroke going 'i dont even know how its possible to swim that slow'
It doesnt matter i know, they are twats but it still hurts. No advice wanted, was just to embarressed to tell my boyfriend and wanted a moan x

That's awful! :( Don't let it get you down, you're doing the exercise for you and for no one else :)

My mam always says "you may be fat, they may be ugly, but at least you can slim" or something to that effect. The lads will be stuck with the same faces forever :)

just remember young lads are d!cks.. in fact most men are d!cks too! lol

Ignore them. The only opinions that matter are those of the people you care about. Just some kids desperate for your attention. Don't let it put you off.

Keeping going to swim, don't let some silly immature people put you off.

If you love doing it then do it! Every time you go swimming you will be benefiting your health and your stamina will also improve, maybe try going to a different pool or see if you can go at another time.

Good luck with it, don't let petty minded people put you off, you have every right to be there!
