... how did you spend your morning ? Would anyone like to share their approximate itinerary?

Got lady to come to hotel room and do hair and make-up, ordered room service lunch.
Time seemed to go sooo quickly & managed to be 30 mins late...

katylou25 · 02/02/2010 13:42

We went to the hairdressers for 8.30 - had hair and make up done (me and 2 bridesmaids) - back to my mums, quick glass of champagne with other relatives who were around - up to hotel for 12ish, had posh sandwiches in the room, got dressed photographer there at 1.30, saw registrar in room, down and wed at 2!! It seems like a lot fo time but actually it's not!!

MrsBadger · 02/02/2010 13:52

got up, went to have hair & makeup done, went out for breakfast, read novels, tried to eat lunch (too nervous), got dressed, had some pics taken.

everything took less time than anticipated and I was early - had to wait outside while final guests dashed in.

flowerybeanbag · 02/02/2010 13:57

Got up, went out for fry-up breakfast with my family. Came back. Went to hairdressers, came back, had shower and got dressed, faffed about having photos, travelled to hotel, was 30 mins late.

MrsBadger · 02/02/2010 14:49

oh and I meant to say, I stayed in the hotel the night before with my sister, parents, other bridesmaid and her dp as DH had the best man and ushers staying at our house.

MrsB - so are we. the thing is it is turning out that lots of the guests are also booking into the hotel for the night before the wedding....so i'm guessing that my sis (the bride) will not want to see them and will have to 'hide' in her room (!). just wonderered how we were going to pass all that time... or if it would be naturally filled with hair / make up etc.

I didn't actually hide (except from dh), but we were in the city centre so could escape from the hotel and 'disappear' relatively easily

Rindercella · 02/02/2010 19:01

You will definitely pass the time, I promise you. Whatever you do though, make sure you enjoy every second of it. None of this..."I will have a good time once my hair & makeup are done" or, "once we have exchanged vows I'll have a blast". Just wake up and think, "I'm getting married to the man of my dreams today and I am going to love and savour every last second of it!".

MIL, mother and bridesamid and sisters in hotel suite with me for hair and make up
then sanwiches
room had to be cleared of everyones belongings because that night it was going to be the honeymoon room so everyone had to relocate to their rooms

londonmackem · 02/02/2010 19:09

I stayed in the hotel so:

8 breakfast
8.30 bath
9 hair and make up lady

all a bit hazy but maybe

12.00 begin putting dress on etc.

1 champagne with bridesmaids

1.45 registrar comes to talk

2.05 get married

Was nice not to be rushing around too much

ja9 · 02/02/2010 19:18

compo - think that might be the case for us re: bridal suite... thanks for drawing my attention to it...helpful to visualise how it's all going to pan out...
