Oh my god, I've left it too late for bridesmaid dresses - help! :( :( :(

I thought we could just pop in at the weekend to John Lewis, BHS and Monsoon.
Turns out everything is sold out and is end of the line, new stock not in until Sept....
We're getting married on 19th Sept

I need four ivory dresses.
Two age 14 for large 10/11 year olds (probably empire line)
One age 8
One age 4

Preferably under £100

The trouble is, most places only go up to age 13 (which I've been told by their Mum's will be too small)
Adult dresses seem to only be in a colour rather than ivory. Plus I'm not sure an adult dress will fit right on a child?

Why have I left it so late? Why does everything need to be done so far in advance ffs!

I'd go to a dressmaker. It all sounds a bit daunting, but they will be used to making dresses. Just go with a rough idea and they will help you

I liked that one when I clicked on shoshe s link, have you tried any dresses on the girls to see what suits them

What about Debenhams

the Lilly Anna dress in Monsoon is available in 12-13 and they do come up a bit large ime. Has some gold on it though.

If they do transfers (and if they have them!) then if they can send to Kingston-upon-Thames branch then that would be fabby

Ceolas - not sure about the gold Although my dress is very light gold but it's very light gold. Colour them we have is ^very light gold/Ivory and Sage green
Ideally want the bridesmaids all in Ivory

Yes my branch has a huge wedding section so no worries to pop in there (its really near the car park entrance/exit) will update you tomorrow (although wont be till mid/late afternoon as heading to sil's after town)

Next have bridesmaids dresses that go to age 16yrs.

Fruityjuice - if you can get to Bluewater there is a wedding dress shop there and they have loads of bridesmaids dresses in and are having a 75% off sale.

Did you ask in BHS if they could get hold of them? I left it very late to get an outfit for DS and they were fab, searched the system and spent ages phoning around other stores to find end of line stock. The outfit came from 3 different shops and was delivered to my local store for collection

I'll do some ringing around tomorrow.
They have one size 12-13 in Peter Jones so that's on hold until the girls can try it on on Sunday. There are more in that size online but I've a feeling it'll be too small. I'm hoping it comes up big!

I might try BHS anyway because I still can't really decide between the JL and BHS ones. I love them both. Nothing else has come close. I suppose the harder it is to get something, the more you want it.
