Feeling really stressed!

We’re getting married in 8 days… been together 15 years and decided to do it a few months ago for sensible reasons but planning a lovely small civil ceremony. It’s a smart/casual low key thing.

Nearly husband ordered his suit about a month ago and Royal Mail were due to deliver it today but haven’t.
This was literally the only thing he had to do!!

He’s convinced it will arrive tomorrow as Royal Mail delivery times are guides and not exact (he says this has happened before and things have arrived the next day).

I know if needs be, he can go into our local town and probably get something off the peg but I’m feeling so wound up tonight.

Help! I feel like sleep is not going to happen and I know being stressed like this is achieving absolutely nothing.

Look in all honesty no one will notice what he’s wearing.. what matters is you both show up on the day to solidify your commitment.. so just enjoy that and have a glass of your favourite drink and let it slide…

I can understand your stress. I bet you've had your outfit for a long time, haven't you ?

However, as @COOMACHEO says, and, indeed you did in your OP, if it's not here by Saturday morning he can presumably walk into any local town or City centre and buy himself another one.

I'd still be cross with him, but I guess you know what he's like if you've been together that long. Some people are planners and stressers, other people are less organised, and / or more relaxed.

You can usually collect parcels from the depot if they fail to deliver to your home. However he should have tracking and know when it’s coming. We have found them one of the best for accurate tracking info. What is the scheduled delivery time window? Is it tomorrow?

DHL are the biggest shit show. Local depot is 15 miles from us and they have lied about us not being in. Twice. We were. They were just a no show. Do dh getting his suit from their depot - it’s for DDs wedding! 3 weeks though.

This is his problem, not yours. Like you say - it was the only thing he had to do. So let him do it, worry about it, fix it.

And worry about the 20 things that are your responsibility 😱
