Hair and makeup timings

Hello,

Anyone who has recently been married, can you help?

If my ceremony is at 1pm and I’ve got 1 updo to do (mine) and then 4 blow drys… with 1 hairdresser.

What time should my hairdresser arrive? Same with makeup - it’s all fairly simple / neutral kind of style.

I just assumed we’d have ages but my MIL is stressing me out about it. We are getting ready at my house, imagine I’ll try and leave about 12:45 as it’s like a 10 min drive, if that, to the venue.

Thanks!

Surely the hairdresser will know how long she needs and suggest a time? Likewise the makeup artist.

When my SIL got married at about 1pm the bridesmaids all had to be there at 7am for hair and make up…there were 6 of us, 5 having up dos, the other short hair which was just blow dried. Plus make up.

7am feels doable! I will ask her - funnily enough I didn’t think of that 🤣 I am finding the whole process quite overwhelming

My hairdresser told me the timeline but she wasn’t doing blow dries I’ve never heard of that before of a wedding stylist, usually they do up dos or a half up half down but always on hair that is clean and dry prior to them arriving.
