Headpiece ideas!

Possibly a S&B question but I’ll try here first.
This is my dress:

I love it. The sleeves are DRAMA and it fits beautifully and is comfy. However, I am stuck with what to wear on my head. I can’t wear a veil as on the model as I have short hair and a veil wouldn’t stay in.
I feel it needs something- but am struggling with ideas.
any thoughts anyone??

It’s fabulous. I think a flower crown (from your florist) to complete the Celtic fairy warrior queen look.

A birdcage veil would be lovely!!

I had a birdcage veil and a crystal headband, as my dress had little beads and crystals on the edge rather than lace. Though I think fresh flowers might be nicest with yours rather than crystal or lace (plus or minus veil)

Thanks for the suggestions. I had a try last night and had bought some fabulous long sparkly earrings and tried a birdcage veil, with a crystal piece on the headband.
It felt too 'harsh', for want of a better word. I feel it needs to lean into the romance of the lace -bit more demure maybe.
I'll try some flowers!

I have no suggestion of a head piece. Just want to tell you your dress is stunning

I think with a statement dress like that, go easy on the head wear. A flower crown or sparkly hair accessory. Could also go for a pill box hat with a bird cage or short veil. I wore a veil for my ceremony as my something borrowed but I took it off for the reception and had a sparkly hair vine.

I've been eyeing up that dress OP but I'd want my actual dress shorter under the cape- it is attached to the cape by the back of the dress?

I was thinking a demure hat. Seems to fit the 60s vibe of the dress.

no, it’s not attached. The cape is more sleeves m, only attached to the top. You could easily make it shorter. It’s a super comfy dress

Thanks for other suggestions- I’ve ordered a few things to try.

Could you have the cape altered to add a hood in the lace. A hood would complete the look.
At that price you could buy two dresses and use one for fabric to alter the cape.
