I was looking for some help please!

My fiancé and I are planning to do a later registry office wedding (say 4/5pm) then have a happily ever after party straight after so starting at around 7pm. Essentially cropping out the formalities of a sit down dinner etc and just having a big party. Throughout the night I would like to squeeze in speeches and first dance. We're planning to do a buffet. What order of events would you guys do as the venue also asked what time would we want food brought out

thank you!

We got married at 4pm in a church. It was the latest we were allowed to have the service as it had to be concluded by a certain time - it’s worth checking whether the same applies to registry office wedding.

I think we had drinks from 5.30 to 6.30 while photos were being done in a separate room (it was winter, so no photos outside as it was dark).

Dinner served at 7pm
Very short speeches after the meal - 8.30

Band 9pm

Speeches after first round of food and after everyone has topped up drinks.
Cutting cake and first dance before sweets.
