Wedding at 36 weeks pregnant?

I'll be 36 weeks pregnant in a few weeks and we have a wedding to go to. It's about a 2 hour drive away - were thinking of just going for the ceremony/meal and then heading back just before the proper reception starts. Little worried about being so far from my hospital although I know i will still have 4 weeks until the due date. (Not that that will matter if the baby comes early!) Overall I've felt well in the pregnancy, just get a little tired now

Anyone had experience with this? Think it'll be okay to go?

Go as long as you feel okay on the day. Maybe take your notes with you just in case?

I was working in another country a shorthaul flight from home until I stopped being able to fly at 36 weeks and had to go on mat leave. Bring your hospital bag and notes with you, if it reassures you.

I wouldn't worry OP. If you did go into labour, you're likely to have hours and hours or even days before you need to be in hospital - and if things did progress much faster, I'm sure there would be a hospital closer than the one you plan to give birth at? In an emergency?

God no. Both mine came fast at 35 and 36 weeks respectively so could have ended up a dramatic scenario if I’d gone!

Op might have had the baby by now!
