Sharing an update, I wrote here a year or so ago. Lots of things happened in the past six months; it's been a rollercoaster. We just started planning the wedding when my fiancé got a terrific job offer in another city. So, we moved last September (from Temecula to the San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles) and postponed the wedding for a couple of months. We had to cancel some of our arrangements, but I really can't complain - it all turned out well. Most of our guests will be able to attend, around 70. I'm surprised I didn't freak out more, honestly. Of course, it's mostly because I'm aware that taking this job was a priority for us. (I mean, I work remotely, so I'm okay; and moving the wedding to a location a couple of hours by train or bus is not the end of the world). Now, we're finalizing the plans, and we will get married in November! We found a wedding venue in LA surprisingly quickly, this banquet hall, and they even allowed us to have our corgi with us.*Maybe some will remember that we were wondering if we should, but there was also a problem: many venues don't allow pets; I can't say I don't understand this policy, even if I love my dog.
