Mumsnetters in Bath - Witnesses needed for wedding on Friday 6th June

Hi all - we urgently need 2 witnesses for our wedding in centre of Bath on Friday 06 June 2025 at 11 am. We are having a secret wedding on Friday, just the 2 of us as we've been together for ages and didnt want any fuss, but we are stressing about the idea of just grabbing 2 witnesses off the street. I know this has worked for people in the past so any lovely Bath mumsnetters out there fancy going to a wedding on Friday? Bonus points if you can chuck a bit of confetti on us as we come out!!

Hi everyone, thanks for the good wishes and offers of help. A lovely mumsnetter has kindly agreed to be our witness and our photographer is going to be the other one. So hopefully we are all sorted! Its been a stressful few weeks as we have planned it all very last minute, but we are on our way now and looking forward to our big day tomorrow!

I stepped in as a witness a couple of years ago with a student who had been eating breakfast in Rosarios (nice Italian cafe tucked away in Northumberland Passage almost opposite the Guildhall- just in case you were after somewhere to meet up beforehand). It was a really lovely intimate ceremony.

I’m not sure how local your witnesses are, but Parade Gardens are now free to enter if you wanted some wedding pics with Pulteney Bridge in the background.

We did the same in Bath. If you need me, I can be there within 30 mins. (The doormen at the guildhall were our witnesses as we didn’t bring any).

Yes everything went to plan thanks. We had an absolutely perfect day, so pleased I reached out for help on mumsnet and hope to be a witness for someone else in a similar situation one day. Thanks everyone!
