How much money do you gift a close friends daughter for their wedding theyve asked for money towards there honeymoon. Dh says £50 daughter says £80 what's the going rate?

We haven't been to a wedding in 15yrs, but back then, if DH and I attended the whole day together, we'd give £100.

Personally for daughter of a close friend, someone I had seen growing up, I would be looking at £100, but if that’s too much for you, give what your budget allows.

If just the evening, then I'd give £50.
