Witnesses needed in Gretna

We're doing it! We're tying the knot with as little stress as possible! Only problem is... we need two witnesses willing to come to Gretna Registration Office the first weekend of July. Any locals willing to volunteer?

I am baffled by this post. I got married at Gretna and you can get two witnesses for £50 as part of your package. Just phone the organisers and ask. They nab some employees from one of the gift shops on the day.

There's no organisers or package. We're not going to Gretna Green, just to the registration office in Gretna

Well when you book the registry office, at that point there should be the opportunity to ask for witnesses. That’s what I did. Or you can phone and ask them if you’ve booked it already.
