I would like some help working out how much to give as a wedding present. I was lucky to be invited to a wedding in India as I am a good friend of the mother of the groom. The wedding was absolutely amazing and the bride and groom had gone to extreme effort to help all the guests get to the wedding in India and paid for two nights in the most beautiful hotel so that we could attend the wedding. They also helped me get flights there and back but I paid for the flights. They said, at first, that they didn't want gifts because we had paid to fly to India and other accommodation but we all felt that we should give them some kind of gift. They have now arranged a wedding gift list of experiences that we can contribute to. My question is how much I should give. I don't want to give too little or embarrass them by giving too much. The hotel rooms that they paid for would have cost £200 in total. How much would be a good amount ? Any ideas would be gratefully received thank you in advance. PS I'm not rich but it really was the most amazing lovely experience x
