Wedding Dress Ideas

Hi,
I’m planning on booking my wedding sometime between June-September this year, outside wedding, Lake District area. There is only going to be Bride, Groom, 2 small children.
I don’t want a big fancy wedding dress, I want something that is comfortable, and something I can run around with the kids and not be bothered about it getting dirty!
I don’t want to spend a fortune either! I have seen lots on Hope & Ivy, I quite like the floral looking ones. Can anyone else recommend any other brands similar? Thank you 🙏

Needle & Thread?

I bought mine on StillWhite (second hand wedding dresses). Loads of nice ones from ball gowns to low key and second hand so cheap. Loads that are tea length. I guess I'm thinking you an get something second hand and not care if you destroy it

Do you mean the non-bridal Hope & Ivy floral dresses? Some of them are very pretty and relaxed. I don’t you’ll find many to rival them at the price.

Purely for the sake of comparison you could keep an eye on:

Klements - as whatever they get for summer will be reduced in the sales before your wedding.

Sister Jane - probably not your thing but you may change your mind as you get closer to the event. This is glorious.

Needle & Thread - as suggested above.

Gather and See - often have wonderful summer dresses.

It’s a nightmare isn’t it!! I wish we could have just been married when my partner proposed, less faff and chew on!

I’ll have a look on there, thank you. I have been looking for second hand ones, it doesn’t bother me at all, as long as it’s in good condition.

I have been look at both the bridal, and non bridal ones. I quite like the ones below. I think the blue one is so pretty but I don’t know if it’s really a dress to get married in? Thank you for the other suggestions, I will have a look at those too.

The Karmen
The Fleur
The Juliette
The Maude

By the way, have you looked at Hope & Ivy on

ASOS

They seem to have lots - some reduced, though inevitably with limited sizes. May be worth browsing.

I'm buying a ball gown from JJ's House for my wedding - they are mostly under £200. I could spend more if I wanted but I would feel a bit ridiculous and the one I've chosen I can wear again....
