Hi,

Has anyone got experience of doing a wedding reception at home. I was hoping to provide all the drinks for guests on the day and hire bar staff to serve them. Does anyone have any advice on how you hired people to man the bar only without paying companies for the alcohol?

Also any other advice/tips are appreciated. thanks x

No experience of this, but do any of your friends have teenage children that could man the bar?

Thanks for responding.

Unfortunately no, everyone has young kids so don’t have anyone we can ask.

I’ll keep looking online and call round some companies tomorrow to see if there’s any options.

I would ask in your local FB group. there will be people on there who can help you or recommend staff. Waitrose used to lend glasses free if you bought a certain amount of wine and would take back any unopened.

Ask around colleagues and neighbours, and wherever else you know people from, including your own Facebook friends.

Someone will have student dc, or know other young people who would be willing to do this to earn a bit of cash.
