Any experiences of getting married in new york?

Did you get an extended wedding certificate?
Im reading conflicting views of whether this is required in the UK but getting one seems like a lot of faffing about/moving between offices/queuing!

We literally want no frills at the city clerks office (romantic I know 😂)

We got the marriage license from there from what I can remember we had to wait 24 hours before we could get married and had up to 72 hours after.
While we were waiting we saw several brides come in and out- didn’t seem to be a lot of waiting around. You have to book before but there are links on their twitter page.

No experience but it sounds amazing!

What do you mean by extended marriage certificate?
