Hi does anyone have any ideas for simple table decorations for wedding reception please ? All I can think of is simple pot plants ina group on table , terracotta pots of herbs etc - does anyone have any ideas along these lines? Think rustic more than posh ! TIA

Those sound lovely. I think the main thing with any table decoration is that your guests can see one another and what's going on in the room.

I've been to too many parties where the decorations looked absolutely amazing but the guests ciukd only take to the people on either side and couldn't see the room.

We had a very small quiet wedding. We had glass drinking jars with wood tops from B&M, battery candles inside and gypsopholi (baby’s breath). Very plain and simple and elegant!

We had a winter wedding and didn't want to spend a bomb on flowers.

We had velvet burgundy runner across each table. Glass jars with cut stem flowers, candlesticks with burgundy candles and small glass jars/terrariums with tea lights in. As it was winter we wanted to focus more on candles/light than florals. We hired ours from our venue but you can often buy jobs lots of jars etc from FB marketplaces.

When is the wedding? Midwinter I would think about pine cones and ivy.

battery powered LED lights in jars (jam jars are fine) look pretty. As do jelly beans and your guests can take them home afterwards.

Hi the wedding is in May. I love the idea of fairy light etc but guess that’s not going to work in May

My daughter is getting married next December.
She wants glass jars covered with frost..a tea light inside and twine around the neck of the car with a bit of holly and some berries
These can be seen in Pinterest
We are going to make them 💂ourselves using Epsom salts to make the frost
