Best places for a micro wedding UK!

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some recommendations for smaller wedding venues. Me and My SO are going to start wedding planning next year and have already decided a small intimate wedding will suit us most. Probably looking at no more than 20 guests but we still want a stunning venue with accomodation or even potentially a campsite that will do exclusive use with a cute church/registry office nearby. I've tried doing some of my own research but I'm more interested in the places people have personal experience off or maybe aren't as well known ☺️ were happy to travel anywhere that will suit our needs!

Had I married my ex, it would have been in St Conan’s Kirk on Loch Awe with the reception at the Ben Cruachan Inn just down the road. It’s a stunning church in glorious scenery, a really lovely part of the world, and the Inn is cosy with beautiful grounds overlooking the Loch. If you want to marry in church then it’s a good shout as they don’t require you to have a local or family connection to the church, which many do.

I haven't experience of the weddings but have stayed here on holiday and it all looks beautiful and quite unusual for weddings. Ocean view, also twilight weddings which sound amazing.

What's your budget like?

Tbh I don't have a set budget, my goal would be to have my wedding as cheaply as possible so I can splash out on a honeymoon however I don't want a "cheap wedding" my idea of cutting costs would be cutting guests hense the much smaller guest list 🤣 maybe £5-10k max overall budget

Were got married here overlooking Windermere in 2019 pre COVID as they already did smaller weddings from 2 to 30 people. We got married with ten of us in the spring and was an absolute dream. Freezing cold but sunny weather. If it's a small wedding id recommend a weekday wedding (wherever you go) not just for price but amazing availability (photographer with 2year plus waiting list for weekend could do our Wednesday) and of course price. Plus less public around

Based in North east England, but happy to travel anywhere, home or away 😊

My sister got married at Cote How in Rydal. Lake District. It was gorgeous!
