3 weeks to go, I can't stop crying!

I need to get a grip,

I work long 12 hour nights in a stressful intense job, I don't finish until the 16th sept. Wedding is 6 days later.

My to do list is never ending and growing.

My house is a massive shit tip, DP is working hard to get the outside done ready for photos as I'm getting ready at home.

My shift pattern is such that I'm either a sleep day or one day off in between.

I am beyond exhausted I'm perimenopausal. I feel sick most days, I cry every day, I take up with a headache that I can't seem to shift. I'm getting so many emails daily from vendors and suppliers so I'm avoiding opening emails cos I feel like something so small will tip me over the edge,

I'm actually more looking forward to going away on honeymoon the next day!

Delegate to do list - do you have a close friend who can go through your inbox?
delete things that aren't essential
forget taking photos of the outside of your house (why??)
get DP doing actual useful things instead of whatever it is he's doing to the house

You sound to me like someone who might need a day or two (or more) off sick to get the stress down and get back on top of life. Have you seen anyone about the headaches, nausea and tears? Night shifts are brutal for health.

Can you take a couple of days sick? It sounds like you really need a break.
Also any jobs you can give to bridesmaids, best man, family?

MessyNeate · 29/08/2024 21:53

Bridesmaid lives 200 miles away.

Photos of me will be outside the house and there's a room in the house he's working on to make nice too.

Nausea, headaches and tears I think is down to peri menopause tbh.

I just haven't had a full day off where I can ring the docs at 8am! I was genuinely thinking of going sick for a few days but then I feel guilty because we are horrifically short staffed already (nhs)

So much stress over just one day. Is it really, really worth it?

oustedbymymate · 29/08/2024 21:58

You can self cert for 7 days without seeing a gp. The form is online.

You sound very stressed!

6 days off before wedding, tons of time.

My lovely annual leave lady has found 24 hours leave for me next week. Just need it approved by manager in the morning!

Just how important are these photos?

What's wrong with just having photos at the venue?

You are putting too much pressure on yourself for a perfect day.

These are pretty important as we live in his parents house who are no longer with us, they had the same photos done
