What’s normal nowadays? I went to a wedding at the beginning of July. Still no thank you note for the gift that I spent time wrapping with little extra touches for the couple.

a bit peed off tbh

Within 2 weeks of being back from HM, I would say

Send a note asking if they liked it. It is possible they muddled up where it came from

I don’t expect a thank you when giving gifts 🤷🏽‍♀️

I don’t normally expect thank you. However this was a wedding and the gift giving is a bit more formalised.

I wrote ours on honeymoon and sent when we get back but I’m a bit of a nerd 🤭 but tbh I don’t remember receiving any wedding thank you letters ever, went to a wedding start of July and nothing yet…

Traditionally they’re to be sent within three months.

There's a trend now for the thank you cards to be a picture of the couple on the wedding day. So there has been a delay because they're waiting for the photographer to send back photos, then get the thank you cards printed. Then write the the things.

I've been to 3 weddings this year and thank you cards have all included a picture of the couple on the day/the whole wedding party 4-6 weeks post wedding I think you have to wait for the photos, get back from honeymoon, then get the cards made, then hand write and send them all. The couple closer to 4 weeks didn't go on honeymoon straight after the wedding they're going later in the year

I think it's normal and polite to thank people who give you gifts.

The last couple of weddings I have been to I didn't receive thank you cards. I think that is so rude - we sent them when me and DH got married
