Taking fiancé dress shopping?

Is this a massive no?

I just don’t fancy taking anyone else, and I don’t want to go alone 🙈 I don’t think I’m particularly superstitious, and I think seeing the dress in the shop and then seeing me on the day once it’s been altered and I’m all “done up” would be different?

Just go on your own, it was fine, I did it

Is it fairly common? I suppose it doesn’t really matter! I usually shop by myself…

Not sure how common it is but I chose a smaller shop where I was the only person there with the sales assistant. I couldn't even FaceTime my dd as she's military

FknOmniShambles · 14/08/2024 11:20

I did it alone too. Found it much less stressful and I could listen to my own thoughts. Getting married on Saturday so finally getting to wear the damn thing! 😅

I ordered a bunch of dresses online and DH and DSD helped me choose.

Loafbeginsat60 · 14/08/2024 11:33

I would! Dh has better style than me tho 😂 so he would be really helpful.

Do whatever makes you comfortable

Fuck the rules, if your partner would enjoy it and it would be a joyous day for you to choose a dress together I say why not!!

or go alone if you want the surprise element 😊 x

No foxes in the henhouse! 😁

I did and I loved knowing he’d helped me choose my dress. I didn’t go traditional though, I bought a ball gown which I’ve worn a few times since (which DH loves!), so it wasn’t the stereotypical wedding dress shopping experience. But you do whatever makes you happy!

I just brought my mum.
My dh would have been useless, he has questionable taste at the best of times.plus he would have been really uncomfortable.
But if you think yours would be good it's your day do what you want .
