Im a relative who hasn't seen the family for years. Not that close. How much is acceptable these days as haven't been to a wedding for years?

It honestly depends where it is, what is included (eg food, open bar) and how much you can afford

Are you invited to the whole day?
How many of you are going?
Do you need to travel, stay the night?
We recently went to a wedding and gifted £500 but it was my nieces wedding (I also paid for all the flowers)
Went to a wedding evening reception and gifted £50 ( was local, small and in a posh pub)
Also depends on your budget.

Sorry yes good point - just evening reception invite, food and drinks. I am driving there and back so no overnight stay. Just literally a few hours in the evening.

I think if your on a budget then £30 but £50 would be lovely

I do £50pp when it’s an evening reception w/o bar. With bar I’ll do £100pp for evening

As it's only an evening invite I would say anything is fine really. Small gift or cash. I would do £50 in a card.

Fab thank you everyone!
