Help- Elopement witness needed, Penrith…

Hi all,

I’m looking for some advice!
My partner and I are eloping in Penrith, Lake District next Wednesday (10/07/2024) in complete secret and as such are struggling for witnesses!
Our lovely photographer is acting as one, however we’re drawing a blank for our second. The registry office has mentioned people have had success previously with strangers on the street but waiting until the morning of is making me slightly nervous!

Has anyone else had this issue before, and if so- what did you do?💕

I have family in Penrith, I'll ask if they are free.

I was a witness for a Mumsnet wedding a few years ago.

I asked but none of them are free. Sorry. If I lived closer, I'd do it. Why not try putting it on a busier board for traffic.

Sadly I’m working that day or id have jumped at the chance! I’m sure you’ll find a witness on here though
