@TheRealKatnissEverdeen I'm doing ok although I've definitely had the realisation it's getting closer.
I've still got things left to do, I need to get bridesmaid dresses, get my alterations done, pay the catering, pay the photographer and DJ and buy rings
It's scary seeing it all written down 😂

Sliding in to join this happy thread! We are getting married in May 2025. We are in Scotland and planning to elope (elsewhere in Scotland) just the two of us and my 11 year old DD.

We are not quite eloping, we have booked a woodland site for a long weekend. Holiday park would be a stretch, just a handful of cabins, us, kids, his mum and close friend each with their partners and children. The close friends have been fantastic confidants to both of us through a very difficult few years. We want them to come and have a well deserved weekend away, which will include a Saturday night party to celebrate us.

Do you have much left to do?

Yes. Other half doesn't have a ring yet, just ordered him some shirts before he goes to pick up his suit next weekend. No idea what shoes he's wearing. This week I've had my hair trial, got a dress fitting this week, still need to sort out bridesmaids shoes, random bits of decor to sort out. Not booked anything for getting to the ceremony for any of us, or thought about the logistics side of who's going to be where, and the reception place has said they don't think they can do the hot dessert we wanted for logistics reasons, so can we have a cold one, but hasn't given us options. Need to plan music for the registry office, give a shot list to the photographer, song list to the singer, don't know if the best man is planning a speech or not, so need to plan logistics of the day.

On the plus side, we have a ceremony booked, I have a pretty dress, we have a photographer, we're getting a good meal at the pub afterwards, and we have a singer and DJ booked so we can have a good dance. Everything else is just gravy really, isn't it?

The countdown is on! 3.5 months to go.

Dress has arrived and doesn't need any alterations.
Fiancé has just picked a ring and we went suit shopping last weekend. All paid and just needs to return for fitting.
Visited venue again last week and they've added in a bridal suite (around 5 rooms) which we will utilise so keeps me away from the masses who will be at our hotel the night before. Means will need to update logistics for photographer, MUA and hair stylist.
Taking a relaxed approach and trying to think it will be alright on the night!

One week today for us!

We need to get FH his ring and he still needs to get his suit.
I picked up my dress from the seamstress last week, alterations all done so that’s sorted.
The main thing we need to do is pay balances for everything, keep having slight panics that it’s not doable but it is, I think!
