I'm planning my wedding, but I have no idea where to start. Where should I begin?

By the way, if you have any good recommendations for clothing suppliers, I would be happy to consider them.

I used JJs house for bridesmaids. Then whistles for my dress, with a dusty pink, ostrich feather wrap, I found through Hitched.

Have you signed up to it yet? It has checklists for everything you can think of, and a handy news letter that has great ideas. The florist eas absolutely extraordinary. A wild flower farm in Kent. They were beyond beautiful

What location do you want?

Congrats on the engagement! I agree that the venue is the top priority there. I would also recommend to use some software to assist with planning. I have used Eventioo.com, which turned out to be super helpful in areas such as planning tasks (they have pretty nice wedding checklist templates), managing the guest list with RSVPs, food preferences, intolerances etc. They also have very intuitive table planner which we used to plan seating and export the final version for the venue manager.

I was only missing some kind of budget planning tool there, but maybe it's there already - not sure.

I have found a few venues on Hitched and decided to visit them in person first. After choosing the venue, I think I will start picking out a wedding dress. Since I'm quite indecisive, I doubt I will be able to settle on an outfit quickly.

@Micro110 Well done! Just be aware that unless you buy off the shelf, a wedding dress can take ages to be delivered etc

Decide on an approximate number of guests and then choose a venue - many get booked up years in advance especially for summer dates so that will determine the date. Then choose a wedding dress - the lead in times for these can be months. Once you've got these two big things arranged, choose bridesmaids and then bridesmaids dresses - if you want any kind of colour theme then the bridesmaids dresses will need to fit into it and it's easier to get chair covers/invitations/orders of service that match your bridesmaids dresses than the other way around. Put out a request on Facebook for recommendations of florists, hair, make up, caterers etc. And don't believe people who say that they got an absolute bargain on the venue - so many people claim that, it can't possibly be true!

Start by setting a budget and determining the size and style of your wedding. Next, choose a date and book your venue early to ensure availability. Finally, create a checklist of essential tasks, such as hiring vendors, sending invitations, and planning the ceremony details. https://www.aolp-fotostudio.ch/ Thank you for the glowing description of AOLP Photo Studio! It's really important to start with a budget and ultimate guest list. Think about what are your must haves. For example what is important to you - if it's food, dress, free bar, live band etc then you need to work out how those will fit into your budget and then workout the less important things. For example how many bridesmaids are you going to have? Can you afford to pay for their outfits/hair/make-up? If you can't afford to do this for more than 2-3 people then there's your answer.

Worry about the rest of it once you've nailed your budget/guest list (even if they're approximate at this stage).

Massimo, the vibrant colors of the Vatican, and "la bella vita", I adopted the stage name Massimo during a 2020 tour of Italy. It reflects my shift to a fun-loving, cheerful, and authentic approach to photography, influenced by the beauty and culture of Italy. https://massimoshochzeit.ch/
