Is 6 weeks long enough to get a dress altered?

I bought my wedding dress from WED2BE today & have an appointment at a seamstress tomorrow, do you think it’s possible to get it altered in time for my wedding which is in 6 weeks? It doesn’t need too much doing, just tucking in in places and also want to have the train taken in as it’s quite long at the moment

I would think so. My seamstress is booked for 8 weeks before my wedding. Was 9 but she moved it back a week. Mine will need sleeves altered and taking in rather a lot possibly a belt attaching. Not sure on that yet mind.

Yes. My dress took two weeks to make from scratch. Good luck!

Yes unless it's very complicated and they are very busy. I'll only have 7 weeks based on the estimate of mine coming into the shop.
