Separate evening dress or same one throughout

Hi All,

Just wanted some advice.

Are you/did you have a different dress for your ceremony and the evening?

Originally I wanted to wear the same one throughout, then changed my mind, then changed my mind again! 😂

Any advice would be super helpful! Thanks in advance ☺️

I changed dress for the evening, only as I didn’t want to destroy the vintage dress I wore during the day.

If you are having separate evening guests it would be a shame for them not to see you in your dress.

I changed dress and shoes for the evening, had a gorgeous mini dress, felt great to dance in, I loved it. I had a bit of a train on my wedding dress and personally didn’t think would look nice hooked up at the back. An excuse to buy an extra dress and shoes too 😁

That's a good point Rampant. Another thing is my bridesmaids aren't changing so if I did get a second dress it would have to be a stand out one or I'd look more like a guest 😂

Stayed the same the underneath of my dress got wrecked though when I eventually caved and took my heels off.

Honestly, the day will fly by.

You spend so much and put so much thought and emotion into choosing your wedding dress, which you are never going to wear again, it seems bizarre to take it off after - what, 5 hours ?.

Plus, it seems a bit of a shame for evening guests to not even get to see your dress.

I think I will prepare two wedding dresses: one formal and elegant, and one more casual and simple.
