Flower ideas for church entrance

Just found out we can't attach anything to the church so can't have the classic flower arch 😭 - does anyone have any nice ideas of types of flower arrangements we could put around the doorway instead? Thank you! 😊

I’m not a florist but have done many church flower arrangements and wedding flowers. You could consider a floral pergola that stands independently but it would cost a fortune. I have never made one but have been to a wedding where they had one. Or just go for two tall arrangements either side. Or tiered filled baskets, if done well the baskets would not be visible at all with trailing flowers, I’m aware that pic doesn’t look that appealing. You could consider two potted trees either side but I suppose it depends on what kind of aesthetic you are after and what time of year you are marrying.

You can have a free standing arch which is heavily weighted at the bottom, assuming your florist can do this - they usually use a metal structure covered in oasis. Alternatively tall arrangements in urns, or similar, are a great choice.
