How much did you spend on flowers?

Hello,

Getting married in October this year and looking at styling the venue along with flowers.

I am curious if you could tell me what flowers you had, and how much it cost please?

I have attached some photos of what I'd love ideally.

  1. I want flowers along the aisle but would like these to then be moved for centre pieces on tables
  1. Ceremony table flowers- move to top table in reception.
  1. Half/semi arch behind tables? Again to move to behind top table.
  1. Bride bouquet.
  1. Three bridesmaid bouquets- can these be reused at all? In vases on cake table maybe?
  1. Buttonhole for groomsmen x 4
  1. Flowers (meadow) in front of ceremony table and then moved to in front of top table.

Does your venue have a list of preferred suppliers? They would be worth asking for quotes.

At least you’re not going to be paying London prices if you’re in Wiltshire 😂

Yes! I have two consultations this week. I'm just unsure on the budget really as I don't really want to go over £2k.

Why don't you tell them your budget and see what they can provide for that? That's what I did (though my budget was only £300 Smile)

I am not a florist but agree £1800 is suspiciously cheap…

miniworry · 19/02/2024 19:06

Agree with @bluejelly we went to our florist and stylist (they work together) and told them our budget and what we wanted in an ideal world and they helped us tweak from there- our split was £3.5k for the florist and £1.5k for the stylist and went about £200 over that.

miniworry · 19/02/2024 19:07

But even then there was lots we couldn't have for that price so I agree £1800 is very cheap/a great deal!!

Blimey! Our whole wedding came in at about £5k!! Most magical day ever!! ❤️ ❤️

mitogoshi · 19/02/2024 20:58

I'm having less than you and I'm not paying for arrangements as I have connections (and a flower market wholesale card!) still budgeting £400. What you describe sounds very expensive but keeping to very common cheap flowers will help

miniworry · 19/02/2024 21:11

@LorlieS agreed it's definitely not about the money and I bet even an elopement feel like the best day of your life ❤️ I was more just responding to the OPs original question as we had very similar to what she is looking for so wanted to provide a real cost.

3500, but I had more bridesmaids than you. 2k-2500k I think would be more than reasonable and the 1800 you’ve been quoted is almost suspicious, but if it’s legit (tagged photos on social media, reviews from brides etc) then definitely lock it in. Congratulations to you!

£175 for my bouquet, two flower girl bouquets and five button holes. Red roses
